MediHome in your home
How long does it take to recover at home?
Generally, patients receive acute care from us for between two days and two weeks.
Most of us would rather recover at home than in hospital...
Sometimes, this is not possible and in-patient care is best. But in a surprising number of cases, acute nursing and physiotherapy care at home is the ideal solution. Our professional team of highly qualified and experienced nurses, physiotherapists and healthcare assistants can provide just the one-to-one acute care that you need.
You may be recovering from an operation or have had a sudden illness that necessitated staying in hospital for a few days. Once your doctor feels that you are on the road to recovery, it is likely that your ongoing care can be provided at home.
Our skilled nurses can carry out a wide range of acute care activities including administering intravenous medications, and we also have highly trained physiotherapists who can treat you at home.

We operate ‘virtual wards’ in the community, at a cost that matches or beats the marginal costs of operating a physical hospital ward. This helps an acute trust to operate within HRG tariffs and enables the hospital to cost-effectively reconfigure its services.
