Patient FAQs
Can I get MediHome acute home care as an NHS patient?
We care for NHS patients under a number of different arrangements. Whether you will be able to receive care from MediHome will depend on whether your care is being funded directly by your local Primary Care Trust (PCT) or whether the hospital trust that you are attending has an arrangement with MediHome.
Can I get MediHome acute home healthcare as a private patient?
If you are receiving care under a private medical insurance policy or paying for your care yourself, there is unlikely to be a problem arranging for MediHome care. Discuss with your consultant whether care from a MediHome nurse is going to be appropriate and then give us a call on 0800 7076505.
Is my personal information secure?
Absolutely. Patient confidentiality is extremely important to us. Every member of staff signs a confidentiality agreement and receives data protection training. Your personal data is stored in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act, 1998 and we take great care to ensure that your personal data is held securely.
Where does MediHome provide acute home healthcare?
We currently care for patients in London and the Home Counties. If you live in Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Kent, London, Middlesex, Surrey or Sussex, it is worth enquiring whether we are able to provide care. Not all patients can be looked after safely at home, so your doctor will need to agree that you do not need services that are only available in hospital. A MediHome nurse will conduct an assessment to ensure that your home circumstances are suitable for home recovery.
The care I received at home was fantastic. The nurses from MediHome were very organised and friendly and they really put me at ease.
